Grand Theft Auto VI
Does GTA 6 Have Online Multiplayer?
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 as a single-player experience. Here is what Rockstar has said about online play, and how GTA Online and Red Dead Online started.
What we know
Rockstar Games describes Grand Theft Auto VI as a single-player experience coming November 19, 2026, to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It has not announced an online mode for GTA 6, a name for one or a release date.
Rockstar has added online modes after launch before. GTA Online arrived on October 1, 2013, two weeks after Grand Theft Auto V. Red Dead Online opened in beta on November 27, 2018, about a month after Red Dead Redemption 2.
That history is context, not a confirmation. Until Rockstar announces an online mode, treat release dates and features for a GTA 6 Online as rumors. We will update this page as soon as there is official news.
